POLICE are appealing for witnesses after the attempted robbery of an 11-year-old boy in Bognor Regis.

About 3pm on Thursday (24 January) the boy was walking in an alleyway between Pevensey Road and Arun Road when he was approached by two men.

They attempted to block his exit and asked for his money. He refused, pushed his way past and made his way home where he called the police.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “The men are described as white, both with stubble, aged in their 30s and of average height and build.

“One of them was wearing a dark green coat, and the other had a black hat. They were in possession of a black cycle, possibly a BMX.”

Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting serial 0894 24/01 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
