Appeal over scooter theft from Selsey shop

Thieves entered a shop in Selsey and made off with an electric ‘self balancing’ scooter, police have said.

The theft happened at Allsorts in the High Street on Thursday, October 29.

According to police the suspect was seen to run from the store carrying a boxed balance wheel, which is an electric self balancing scooter, and head west before putting it into the back of a car parked in New Parade.

A 46-year-old man from Croydon, Surrey, was arrested on suspicion of theft. He was questioned and bailed until Sunday, December 20, a police statement said.

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting serial 1189 of 29/10.
