A DISTINCTIVE locket has been stolen from a property in Rose Green during a burglary.
The house on Lincoln Avenue was broken into between November 21 and November 27 by smashing a door.
A number of items of jewellery were taken including the locket.
The gold locket is described as being small and on a short chain.
On one side of the pendent was a picture of a young boy wearing a blue top and had blonde coloured hair.
On the other side of the pendent was a lock of hair that belonged to that boy.
Katy Wood from the priority crime team at Bognor said: “The victim is extremely upset as the picture in the locket is of the victim’s uncle who died when he was young and is of great sentimental value.
“She is desperate to have it returned. Unfortunately she has no pictures of it but is appealing to anyone who has it or has seen in on sale anywhere to please return it and contact the police.”
The rest of the jewellery stolen was also thought to be Georgian and included a gold pearl ring with eight pearls encased in gold claws and a brooch with pearls and rubies.
Anyone with information on the missing items or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the theft is asked to contact police on email@example.com quoting serial 583 of 27/11.
