A BIGGER-than-ever holiday club at an Aldwick church kept dozens of children entertained.

The Mega Makers! sessions at Aldwick Baptist Church were joined for the first time by its Cafe Connect.

This saw up to 70 children a day, aged from young babies to 11 year olds, attend the daily fun activities.

They ended last Saturday with a family fun day at the Gossamer Lane premises.

Ben Lander, the church’s youth leader, said: “The Bible holiday club has gone really well.

“We’ve had just under 40 children every day.”

The well-established club was for the four to 11 year olds.

“They enjoyed craft fun, singing and dancing, drama and messy games

Some 30 younger children were also taken along by their mums to the church’s newer Cafe Connect.

“When you add parents in, there have been up to 100 people here,” said Ben. “The church has been buzzing.

“Having Cafe Connect means mums have been able to stay for a coffee and a cake while their children play here rather than leave them.”
