Alarm scares off intruders

AN ALARM scared off intruders trying to break into a caravan.

About 8.45pm on February 2, the empty mobile home in Shripney Road was broken into.

The intruders fled after its alarm sounded.

The same day a stolen tax disc was reported to police.

The disc had been taken off a scooter parked in Frandor Road, West Meads.

The previous day a break-in to a car parked in Mayfield Road was reported.

It is thought the car was entered sometime between 10am on January 31 and 9am the following day. Items stolen included a fishing knife.
