Aldwick teenager Lily Ede has donated her hair to a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer.
The 14-year-old had her long hair cut short at Richard Pearce Hairdressing, having been inspired by Little Princess Trust’s Hair to Spare campaign. She also raised more than £630 through sponsorship.
Lily, who has always had long hair, said she loved her new short crop.
Richard, who did Lily’s haircut for free, said: “Lily was brave to have her long hair chopped off, especially as she’s never had it cut short before.
“It’s a very good cause so we were happy to help not just with cutting her hair but with her fundraising efforts, too.”
