A29 north of Bognor Regis is closed on February 11

EMERGENCY work has caused the A29 Shripney Road in Bognor Regis to be closed to traffic on Tuesday, February 11.

The road was shut from 9.30am by West Sussex County Council and is due to re-open at 4pm.

A council spokesman said: “The road will be closed so that a trench can be dug across the carriageway into which the pumping pipework can be placed and covered over, therefore, allowing traffic to drive over the top.”

The A29 has suffered days of closure this year because of flooding as a result of the extremely wet weather.
