Murder suspect in court
THE man accused of murdering school teacher Donna Coe made his first appearance in court yesterday (Thursday) looking weak and unwell.
Former Midhurst Grammar School teacher Blair Graham Alexander Marrows (45) was helped to his seat in the dock of Basingstoke Magistrates Court on March 27 by a court officer.
The maths teacher, of Dickins Lane, spoke only to confirm his name and address and listen to the charge of murder read out against him.
Dressed in a black tracksuit and looking pale and unshaven Marrows had bandages around his left wrist and hand and was unable to stand during the proceedings.
Marrows had been due to appear in court on Monday March 24 but had been too unwell to attend and was instead treated in hospital under a police guard.
He appears next in Winchester Crown Court on April 7 for a preliminary hearing.
He will be remanded in custody until that time.
