One of Pagham's main roads to Chichester is set to be closed from Monday (June, 29) for up to a month.
The B2166 Lower Bognor Road is likely to be shut while a high-friction surface which will improve skid resistance is laid.

The resurfacing work is one of several schemes being carried out around West Sussex to save lives.

Derek Whittington,
the county council's strategic planning and transport supremo, said: "For safety reasons and space limitations, it will be necessary to close the roads at most of the sites.

"Signed diversion routes will be in place.

"This is important road safety work and we try to keep inconvenience caused to motorists to a minimum."
