Schools will be hit by strike
Council employees in Mid Sussex will be taking strike action this week after a dispute over pay.
Members of Unison, one of Britain's biggest unions, this month voted to launch a campaign of industrial action after rejecting a 2.45 per cent pay offer.
Those taking strike include school dinner ladies, classroom assistants, architects and refuse collectors in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Oathall Community College will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday of this week and Albourne C.E Primary School will be closed to Year 4 pupils on Wednesday and Thursday and closed for reception class on Thursday afternoon.
West Sussex County Council says it is possible other schools may have to close. For up to date information visit the council's website on www.westsussex.gov.uk and click on the link to West Sussex Grid for Learning.
