GALLERY: Students arrive in style for St Philip Howard Catholic High School prom

Head of year 11 Jane Allison was given an award by her departing Barnham pupils for being the best teacher ever.

Ms Allison received the deserved recognition when the St Philip Howard Catholic High School students from her year held their prom.

A total of 129 of the 16-year-olds dressed up in their finery of suits and ballgowns for the occasion at the Hilton Avisford Park Hotel in Walberton.

They arrived at the upmarket location in a variety of transport which ranged from a tank to a couple of mobility scooters.

The night of dancing and eating was the final time some of the students would be together before they depart for their respective studies in their chosen subjects.

They were joined by 25 teachers and senior management staff for an occasion which was enjoyed by all even if it was tinged with sadness for some.
