ENTERTAINMENT: Dropping into Bognor as part of world record bid
Bognor Regis gets the chance to help in a Guinness World Record attempt when Christian educational charity Act 4 drops in as part of its non-stop national tour of 50 performances at 50 different venues in 50 consecutive days – a feat never before achieved by a theatre company.
It comes to the Regis Centre on Monday, June 22, at 10.30am.
Other performances across West Sussex are: July 1, 10am – Chequer Mead Theatre, East Grinstead; July 6, 10.30am – Pavilion Theatre, Worthing; July 10, 10am – Holland Road Baptist Church, Hove.
A spokesman said: "Apart from earning its place in history, the world record attempt will ensure thousands of people have the opportunity to see the original play which combines drama, music, video and performance art and is split into two parts, one which tells the story of the Bible from the beginning to the resurrection of Christ, and the other which tells the story of the Good Samaritan.
"Aspects of the national curriculum, particularly in relation to citizenship and religious education, are also included and Star Citizen is the start of what Act 4 hopes will be an ongoing relationship with schools and community groups.
"Audiences will be invited to join in with songs and games in the show, which responds to the negative images of children common in today's media."
