HORSHAM district residents were treated to a spectacular display of lightning yesterday evening (Wednesday August 6).
Although thunderstorms skirted round the area and there were only a few heavy showers, numerous dramatic bolts of lightning were clearly visible to the east and north-east from around 7.30pm for more than an hour.
The storms centred on East Sussex, with Brighton, Seaford and Eastbourne particularly affected.
Our thanks to Horsham resident Guy Sherlock who took the featured photograph above.
