THIS is an e-fit of a man police want to interview following an armed robbery at a Roffey bookies last week.

Staf at William Hill Bookmakers, in Fitzalan Road, Roffey, were held at knifepoint on Thursday July 31, by a man demanding cash.

The man walked in at about 6.30pm brandishing a kitchen knife which he used to threaten two employees with before demanding cash.

Terrified staff handed over an unknown quantity of cash before dialling 999.

The man has been described as dark-skinned, in his 20s, wearing scruffy blue jeans, a brown two-tone long sleeve t-shirt and white trainers. He also wore a woollen hat and gloves.

He was carrying a white plastic bag into which he put the cash.

He made off along the parade on shops. No one was injured.

Police are viewing CCTV footage and appealing for any members of the public who were in the area at the time and who may have witnessed anything or seen anyone acting suspiciously.

Please contact DC Caroline May, Horsham CID, on 0845 60 70 999 extension 30219. Information can also be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
