Bognor Regis' End Of The Pier International Film Festival has confirmed its growing status with a sparkling opening few days.
Big names have turned out to support it; and big contacts are already being made for the future.

Last Friday's opening gala at Butlins was attended by stars including June Whitfield, EastEnders' 'Nasty Nick' John Altman and BBC producer/director Harold Snoad.

And since then festival founder and director Bryan Gartside has been in talks to build up significant new festival links in Argentina, to go with the USA dates coming up this autumn.

Attendances over the opening weekend were just a touch up on last year, Bryan confirmed.

The festival continues tonight (Thursday) at the Regis Centre with animation and experimental films; Friday is students' night; and Saturday is the awards night.

The festival is based at the Regis Centre and runs April 25-May 3. More information on 01243 841775 or info@eotpfilmfestival.com. Also see the website www.bognor.co.uk
