Derek will be missed

I LEARNT of the death of Derek Debuse with great sadness.

I first met Derek in the late 70s when he and a few friends were trying to encourage music-making in the town. The result was the formation of the Music Club.

This fine enterprise has become the foremost venue for local and international artists to perform.

Derek Debuse was a friendly and highly-talented musician with whom I enjoyed working. A man without guile, greatly missed.
