Today, we launch our new search for golf's aces in the pack – the players who have achieved that special feat of getting a hole in one.
Malcolm, known as Chalky, is the first entrant after hitting an ace at the hole which, as last year, will be the venue for our final – the signature 15th on Chichester's Cathedral course.
All those whose entries are accepted will be invited to a nearest-the-pin competition, with the winner carrying off a super Ping putter.
And all our hole-in-one heroes will also win a sleeve of Wilson golf balls.
Michael's ace came while he was playing for Chichester veterans against Portsmouth.
"I hit my tee shot and my partner, Ken Jackson, said 'That's in line.' I thought it was close – then I saw it go down the hole.
"It was my first one and I couldn't believe it. Mind you, I haven't got anywhere near at that hole since!"
To enter, you need to live in the Observer circulation area. Your ace counts on whichever course you hit it and whether it's in a competition or a relaxing round with friends.
But there are some rules that must be followed for you to qualify.
Your playing card must be verified by your playing partner and by the club where you hit the shot. You must send your card to us with a covering letter of endorsement from your club.
Tell us where you hit your ace, which hole it was on and what club you used.
Write to Hole In One Competition, Observer Series, Unicorn House, 8 Eastgate Square, Chichester, PO19 1JN - or
