Selsey and Chichester City United are through to the second round of the FA Vase - but all our other local county league sides lost.
Selsey won 3-1 at Guildford - their 11th win in 15 games this season, only four of which have been in the league.

The Surrey hosts led 1-0 at the break but Rob Brown, Callum Britton and Scott Hinshelwood struck in a 15-minute spell in the second h
alf to see the Blues through to the second round.

Joining them in the next round are Chichester City United, who beat Epsom & Ewell 2-0 at Oaklands Park.

John Temple and Ben Vassallo got the goals in the first half.

Pagham fared considerably worse in another knockout competition - they lost 4-0 for the second week in a row, this time at Ringmer in the Sussex Senior Cup, crashing out to two goals in each half.

In division two of the county league, Sidlesham's miserable start to the campaign continued. They were three down in 20 minutes at home to Crawley Down and ended up 4-0 losers to thesecond-placed outfit.

Midhurst aren't many places above them in the division after a 2-1 loss at Lancing. Ryan Seacombe got a late consolation for them.

Third-division Bosham were in cup action but they went out of the Vernon Wentworth Cup after a 2-0 defeat at home to Steyning reserves.
