Pagham started their pre-season campaign with a battling home draw against Wessex League Premier side Hayling United.
With Wes Hallett injured and Rob McLelland away, new signing Darren Pye made his debut between the sticks. Also playing his first game for the Lions was pacy winger Lewis Hamilton.

The first goal came on 50 minutes when Hayling found a chink in Pagham's defence to beat Pye.

The Lions netted a deserved equaliser when a searing run by Andy Cox gave the Hayling keeper no chance.

A superb header by Sean Towers doubled Pagham's tally on the hour mark, but Hayling were rewarded with a well-taken equaliser with minutes reamining.

The Lions face Littlehampton Town in a double header on Saturday (2pm and 4pm), before meeting Midhurst on Tuesday (7.30pm).
