Midfielder James Archer has joined the Rocks - and goes straight into the 16 in the FA Cup at Burgess Hill.
The 19-year-old has joined on a non-contract basis after leaving St Albans.

He has enrolled on a university course in West Sussex and wanted a club in this part of the world.

Archer is a six-footer who plays in the centre of midfield, and has trained with the Rocks this week.

Boss Mick Jenkins is delighted to land him and said: "He comes highly recommended from St Albans.

"He looks a very good find. He has great energy levels and a decent physical presence."

The Rocks are still aiming to boost their defence and strikeforce, but have not managed that this week.

A loan move for Oxford defender Matt Day could still go ahead once the FA Cup tie is out of the way, but attempts to land another striker have been knocked back.

Tom Clarke is favourite to start up front alongside top scorer Steffan Gaisie at Leylands Park.

Jenkins heads to Burgess Hill insisting the home side are favourites to go through.

"I think we're the underdogs, to be honest," he said. "They've got home advantage and some good players. They're certainly shouting about it on their website.

"If we can go there and get a win or bring them back for a replay, it will be a very good result indeed."
