MORE volunteers are desperately needed to prevent the Mid Sussex Branch of the National Childbirth Trust from closing.
The branch has twenty-five local mums who volunteer to co-ordinate activities for other parents, but needs another ten or more.
The NCT is the UK's leading charity on pregnancy, birth and early parenthood – helping parents all the way from pregnancy to when their children go to school.
The Branch offers antenatal classes and parent and baby groups as well as fundraising events such as nearly new sales to help expectant and new parents to meet others in the same situation and to make friends.
Emma Buckley, NCT events coordinator, said; "In the last few months some of our long-standing volunteers have stepped down. We'd be delighted to welcome anyone who can spare some time to make a difference to local parents.
If you are interested in finding out more please come to an open evening tonight (March 16) at 8pm in the Woolpack Inn, West Street, Burgess Hill, to meet the team.
