THE ROCKS have a new company's name on their shirts this season after a record-breaking sponsors' draw.

Around 150 firms paid £150 each for the chance to have their name splashed across the shirts for the whole season – bringing in just over £25,000 for the club.

It was close to the highest number of sponsors who have ever entered – that despite the entry fee going up from £100 to £150.

The Apogee Corporation were drawn out of the hat as the winners
Apogee recently bought out Advance Copiers, a local firm who had backed the club for many years.

Ryan Cars will sponsor the backs of the shirts, and all other sponsors' draw entrants will get their firms promoted in other ways, such as advertising in the matchday programme.

The extra revenue will be a huge boost to the club at a time when they have also secured fresh investment from the local business community.

Season-ticket sales are also up and the club are hoping for a bumper crowd – perhaps close to 500 – to kick off the season on Saturday.
