ASPIRING photographers are encouraged to grab their cameras and make their way to the waterfront to compete for a cash prize.
Chichester Harbour Conservancy is organising the contest and looking for snappers to capture the theme of People and Places in Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

It wants to see images that convey the importance of the harbour area for rest, relaxation and sport.

There are cash prizes up for grabs of £100, £80 and two lots of £50, for the best entries. Winners will also bag a 40-page photo book donated by Whitby's Imaging Centre.

An exhibition of entries will be held at the Old Court Room, North Street, Chichester on September 19 and 20.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of Chichester Harbour.

To enter call the harbour office on 01243 512301 or log on to the conservancy's website.

Closing date is September 16.
